The Siebert Family has been very busy jet-setting across the country to maintain our care for John, who is improving, but still in ICU and still unconscious. It's funny how the crazy times in our lives can turn out to also be the most rewarding and the most informative...especially when it comes to self-realization.
We, Keith and I, recently made another trip to Reno...crossing paths briefly...to sit with John and help care for him in any way possible. He is starting to make more efforts towards initiating breaths and showing small signs of waking up. He opens his eyes, yawns and withdraws when poked and proded. So, forward motion on the "Fight For John" front.
While celebrating Charlie's (my nephew) 2nd Birthday...I continued to beg my sister to have her baby before I retreated to Ohio for 10 days for a bachelorette party and wedding for my cousin, Amy. She seemed to be progressing in her attempt at making my wishes come true, but wasn't quite there yet.
(PALEEEEEEZ SISTER...get up and MAKE HER COME OUT!!!)
Well, she did it!!!
Courtney gave birth to
Lucy Grace Leatherwood
September 13, 2010
7:59 p.m.
6 lbs 7 oz. 19 inches and a head FULL of brown hair!!
Courtney got THE BEST Birthday present ever!!! Lucy arrived one day before Courtney's Birthday. She is the most BEAUTIFUL little girl I have ever seen...I am biased. I think she TOTALLY looks like her Daddy or her Grandma Leatherwood. Funny how Charlie looks more like Courtney and Lucy looks more like Jake.
I am in LOVE with this ANGEL!!!
~ She already LOVES her AUNT Kiki ~
(Yes, I was already changing out her accessories...hats Mamaw made!)
AND her Uncle Keith
Yes, we have to even fight Charlie for holding time...he is already VERY protective!
Cousins!!!
Even Kissing Cousins!!!!
While visiting Lucy, we aren't quite sure who was babysitting the boys...the Grandparents or the iPads!!
The Family Count: Girls are gaining on the Boys...
4 girls (Mamaw, Aunt Kiki, Aunt CC, and Lucy) and
5 boys (Pappy, Uncle Kef, Uncle Jake, Gavin and Charlie)
I am so very proud of my sister...she has a beautiful Family!
