About Me

My photo
I have a wonderful husband and bouncing boy, who is growing faster and faster as the days go by. I love to play with him and watch him learn and grow. My two boys are the things I am most proud of in this world and I love them to pieces...like father...like son!

Let it Snow!

~Winter Weather Advisory~
Yeah right...we've heard this before, but nothing happens.
They forecast 1-3" of rain/snow mixture that will not start until lunchtime on Thursday.
AS USUAL the weatherman is WRONG AGAIN!
This time, I was glad they were wrong. Unlike most people, I love the snow! I love the beauty it brings with it and the warmth it fills my heart with as it reminds me of growing up playing in the snow with my cousins and friends when we live up North.
This time, we hit a RECORD...14" of SNOW!!! It was amazing. It was beautiful. It was FuN!

Keith and Gavin spent the morning Thursday building a snowman while Mommy was at work. I must say, for once, I was jealous that Keith was home with Gavster and Mommy was working. BUT, they made up for it when they brought me flowers and treats for Valentine's Day since Keith had to work on Friday this year.

Friday morning came and it was Daddy's turn to head to work and Mommy got to stay home and play with Gavin in the snow! Since we will probably never see snow like this again, I am glad I stayed home for a few hours and just enjoyed it and played with Gavin. I loaded him up and took him to Nana Jo and Grandpa's house. I knew they would have plenty of fresh powder to play in and to my surprise (well, I shouldn't be surprised) "Jo" had saved Keith and Paul's sleds from when they were little boys. Oh yes, my friends...this was really cool to watch my little one, glow with excitement as he was towed in the same sled his Daddy played in at his age. Yet another thing that made my heart happy! It really was cool and "Jo" and "Ba" were good sports and will probably suffer tomorrow for towing Gavin ALL AROUND the backyard and driveway in the sled. His little smile and face was just priceless!! I wish I could have stayed longer and played!!!

As I sit here and blog, I can hear the snow melting and it makes my heart a little sad.

Here's to living the experiences when they are presented instead of living with the regret of not taking the time.
