So, I kept seeing everyone talking back and forth about this book, The Shack. Everyone's conversations and comments intrigued me. So, I thought I would buy the book and figure out just what all the hoopla was about and, boy, am I glad I did. With a new found understanding of a parent's unconditional love, I found myself relating to this book on so many levels. From the way he describes GOD, Jesus and The Holy Spirit to the explanations of God's desire to share a RELATIONSHIP not an institution with us, I have been touched. I can relate to so many of the comments in this book and it helped me to realize that I don't have to walk through the motions of going to church on Sundays to have a relationship with my GOD. While it helps to develop lasting relationships and a support system through your church family and while I think that is why my sister and I grew up with such great morals and values...it's not the ONLY way to experience GOD. You simply have to open your heart and embrace the relationship for all it's worth.
If you are looking for a good read and perhaps something to help you find your way back to your relationship with God...I would recommend this book. I read it in a day and a half. I couldn't put it down. Apparently, I needed the reminder!
