About Me

My photo
I have a wonderful husband and bouncing boy, who is growing faster and faster as the days go by. I love to play with him and watch him learn and grow. My two boys are the things I am most proud of in this world and I love them to pieces...like father...like son!

Accidents Happen!

We had such beautiful weather on Sunday and decided to get out and head to the park. Gavin LOVES to be outside. We walked around the park behind Nana Jo and Ba's house. We saw the Moo Cow's and Donkey up close and the Donkey even let Nana Jo pet him!! Swinging on the swing is always Gavin's favorite, so away we went...up and down, up and down. Onto the slide we would go...Gav and Nana Jo went Weeeeeeeheeee all the way down. Daddy even assisted in a solo slide! Thanks Daddy!

One last ride down with Nana Jo...oops...those darn shoes got stuck. Apparently rubber and plastic don't slide! Gav's foot came to a stop, but he and Nana Jo didn't...so his ankle and leg got twisted and stuck underneath him. OUCH!!! Everyone kissed it and Daddy checked it out for some obvious breaks...none that we could find. So, the shoes stayed off and to Grandma's house, we went. It was nap time! Gav woke up from nap time and wouldn't put his foot down or stop crying...so we thought we should probably get some x-rays...better safe than sorry.

So, we headed to Children's ER. Ironically, we ended up with the same nurse we had when we were there in January for Gavin's RSV stint. She's great!! So, we got some inconclusive x-rays and a prescription for some Motrin, LOTS of Mommy and Daddy LOVE, attention and a follow up visit with a Pediatric Ortho Specialist. I think this kid's seen more specialist than 10 babies. But, with each visit comes reassurance and good news, so we are hopeful for Wednesday! Gav's a trooper and we both think that he probably just has a sprain or a bruise. We'll see! The point is...accidents happen! If I had a baby boy with my husband and he didn't some how end up in the ER, I'd be shocked...our family is known for active tendencies that land us in the ER or surgery. Aaaahhhhh, the life of a Siebert!
