
Keith started the Crossfit workouts a few months ago, once his MMA gym closed, and really got into it.
We had some free weights at the house and so I started to get back into the swing too. It was nice to workout with Keith again...he's such a motivator! We started putting Gavin to bed and heading out the garage to workout, together. We cancelled our gym memberships and took the money we were saving on those and bought some equipment for the garage...the workouts have really grown on me and gotten me interested in doing something for myself again...hard to believe, I know. But, with the workouts being so quick, yet intense, they are easy to do in the garage after Gav goes down for the night. If we have to run, we take turns running down the street and back while the other lifts weights in the garage, just in case, Gav wakes up. So far, it has worked out and gotten me into something challenging. I really do enjoy the fact that I can get a good workout in my own garage on my own schedule, giving me NO excuses to not workout. Our most recent addition was an indoor rowing machine I found on a local website...it was a great deal and worked out well. Hopefully I will start to see some results...I have already gotten stronger, for sure. My main goal is going to be able to complete pull ups on my own...no assistance and perhaps a handstand push up. Isn't that crazy, I can't even do one pull up on my own...remember when we were kids and would jump from bar to bar like monkeys. Ahhh, one day!!
