About Me

My photo
I have a wonderful husband and bouncing boy, who is growing faster and faster as the days go by. I love to play with him and watch him learn and grow. My two boys are the things I am most proud of in this world and I love them to pieces...like father...like son!

Four Adults, Four Kids and a Dog for Four days of FuN

Where do I start??
Arrival: Thursday Night

For dinner...Pizza & SnoCones!!! Just as requested!
Some were in their PJ's. Some were asleep in the car and some were still WIDE awake!

After filling their bellies with delicious SnoCones, we put them to bed!

Friday Morning: Pool Time!!

A home cooked breakfast, some sunscreen, some snacks and drinks and we are off to the pool to wear these kiddos out so we can take late naps to make for a melt-down free night of baseball and fireworks!

We get all the kids bathed, changed and into napping positions and relax for a bit and when I say relax, I really mean run to the grocery store for dinner fixin's and stop by the frozen yogurt place on our way back!
We cook up a tasty Taco Ring and get all the kiddos changed and ready to hit the Baseball Field and we are off to the Rough Rider Game at Dr. Pepper Ballpark for some good 'ole fashioned American Baseball & Fireworks to finish off the night of FuN!!

Brandt, Avery, and Gracie ~ Dr. Pepper Ballpark - Frisco Rough Riders Game!

You would have thought these kids didn't get dinner...we got every snack possible and all bellies were FULL

Gracie LOVED her Cotton Candy...can you tell?!?!

One of my Favorite Pics of the evening!

Some of us were getting sleepy!

After a little disappearing and recovery act by Avery, we finished the night off with Fireworks!

Gavin LOVES the Fireworks!

 ALL of us had an awesome time!

 Saturday: Lake Day!!!

We took our time, got up whenever the kids woke up, laid around in our PJ's, cooked pancakes and waited for a morning rest for Gavin and Gracie while we loaded the boat up. By 2:00, we were off to the lake with four VERY excited kiddos! We anchored and went swimming, jumping, diving and floating...well, one of us {Avery} just enjoyed snacking and sitting in the boat! After a little relaxation, we inflated the TUBE and Gavin went tubing for the first time. I think it made Keith more nervous to drive us, than anyone else he has ever towed! Gavin and Gracie had a blast!

FuN in the SuN!!!

Brandt gave Lake Day 2 Thumbs Up!!!

Avery enjoyed the delicious snacks we packed and lounging on the boat!

Gracie was our STAR jumper or faller, depending on when you catch her!

And, of course, Gavin enjoyed his "Wakeboarding"
{Standing on the surf board, if you will}

Even the Big Kids got to play!!!
Tubing with Gavin and Gracie!

We finished Lake Day with some good 'ole country cookin' from 'Babes' & delicious 'Dimples Cupcakes'
I have never had so much chaos in my house at one time as it seems we had on Saturday night and LOVED every minute of it!

Sunday: Feeding our Food Baby's

Keith had to work Sunday and Gavin and I were scheduled to rise early and cheer Rob on at his Triathlon at Lake Ray Roberts! So, Sunday was a bit of a "hang-out" morning for the rest of the crew...sleeping a little longer, baking cinnemon rolls and chillaxing!

Waiting for Rob to come in...Go Rob Go!!!
{Naturally, Gavin was entertaining the crowd of onlookers!!}

Late to bed, Early to rise makes for a necessary cat-nap!

Once we had arrived home, had a little snack ourselves, and played some...we all loaded up for another must-have food endeaver...La Hacienda Ranch {La Ha!!}

The kids all enjoyed riding the Horses on the front porch!

The kids were amazed by the BIG Bear at the entrance!

This was Katie's last day with us! We were sad to see her go home.

We all stuffed ourselves silly with some yummy Mexican food and then headed home for rest time!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now why would we stay at home and relax when there are STILL more things to do and see...so we headed off to the SPLASH Park at Frisco Commons.
A little snack break in between splash play!
They ran, the splashed, they got soaked, they had a blast!
Monday: Safety Town & Fire Station Tour
Getting four kids to all look at you and smile is harder than you think!
All the tools the Firefighters use on a daily basis.
Gracie Driving and Avery Riding in the Fire Engine!
What the inside of a house looks like after a fire and what the Firefighters have to do to ensure it doesn't rekindle.
A Tornado is coming...the room shakes with Thunder!
So we learn to take cover and protect our heads!
The room fills with smoke {simulation, of course!} so we crawl low & look for an escape route at the window!
Everyone made the window escape to the rooftop and out safely!!
Keith explained all of the gear and helmets!!
We toured all of the fire engines, trucks and ambulances!
THANK YOU, Mr. Keith for our tour!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We ended our visit, the same way we began our visit...Pizza & SnoCones!!!

Which flavor would you order?!?!

The "SnoCone Lady", herself, on the left!!!
We have been patrons for nearly 20 years
and not a single person has tried to come into Frisco and compete with THE BEST SnoCones around!!

Cotton Candy for the girls & Nija Turtle for the boys!

Colored Tongues!!

We Love our SnoCones and each other!!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That just about wraps up the mayhem...I still can't believe we crammed all of that FuN into four days!!
Swimming, Eating, Lake Day, Eating, Baseball, Fireworks, Eating, SnoCones, Pizza, Splash Parks, Eating, Safety Town & Fire Station not to mention the little "adventures" in between the major ones!
{Wink! Wink! Wink! Grandma Jan}
I am pretty sure Chey Chey and the rest of us, for that matter, will sleep like babies tonight and the rest of the week! As I got up to leave for work, I was sad that I would come home to an empty house and our fun had come to an end. Gavin was super-bummed when he wasn't able to load up in Miss Nikki's car and go with his new friends! But, we will get to see them all in September when we go up for Miss Amy's wedding!
So, it's not "Goodbye" but "See Ya Later!"
