About Me

My photo
I have a wonderful husband and bouncing boy, who is growing faster and faster as the days go by. I love to play with him and watch him learn and grow. My two boys are the things I am most proud of in this world and I love them to pieces...like father...like son!

Rascal Flatts - VIP Style!!!!

Rascal Flatts ~ Pizza Hut Park
July 24, 2010

This is the beautiful picture Rascal Flatts posted to their Facebook Fan Page, the night of the concert! The evening started a little differently than planned and ended even better than expected!!!

Gia took a spill, earlier in the day...tumbled right out of the car and landed sideways on her ankle. Unsure of whether it was sprained, torn or broken, she was NOT going to miss this show!! So, she headed home to rest up and our dinner plans were moved, rather cozily, from Matitos to Casa De Gia!! We ordered Mexican food "to go" and took it easy in the comfort of Gia's house. After stuffing our tummies with yummy Mexican food, it was GO TIME!!!

Everyone was loaded up, booted up, and ready to Par-tay!!! Bo Bo even gave us her Handicap Sticker in hopes of helping us get a closer parking location. Thanks Bo Bo...we did get closer!!

We arrived at Pizza Hut park and tailgated in the parking lot with a few friends, for a while, and then made our GRAND entrance! We would soon come to know the VIP feeling as we were escorted to the elevator down to the tunnel entrance on the floor, since our seats were in ROW 13!!!
(Thank you Paul Siebert for the tickets!!!)
Once we arrive on the floor level, we were met by Paul and guided to our seats. BUT, wait a minute!! On the way to our seats, we met a friendly man on a scooter! He was about 2 inches tall and offered Gia a ride to her seat! She shrugged her shoulders, and hopped on! How nice was he?!?!
(We had no idea, at the time, that he toured with John Rich from Big and Rich...Two Foot Fred was his name!)

Thank goodness for Two Foot Fred, too, otherwise, Gia would have been soaking wet from sweat and ready to pass out from exhaustion...because our seats were on the other side of the floor.

We had finally made it and I don't think anyone wanted to leave our seats. Thank goodness for walking vendors and Paul running water over to Gia. Gia put her feet up and tried to relax...pretty stylin, even in just ONE boot! It was hot down there in the mix of all those people and blocked from the wind, but I think everyone would agree that our seats and view were worth the sweat!
I couldn't help myself and decided that I needed a beer to quench my thirst AND that seemed to be the only ice cold beverage floating the floors. So, $11 later, yes, you read right...$11 for a beer and I was a happy camper. It actually had ice in it, it was so cold... and tasty too!!

As you can imagine, all of that water drinking and $11 beer would eventually warrant a break, so we headed to the tunnel...Gia on her crutches and Paul and I surrounding her making sure no one ran into her or she didn't fall. To our surprise, on our way back to our seats, we run into Two Foot Fred again! He asked us how we were enjoying the show and then asked Gia if she were standing the whole time. When she told him she was sitting and enjoying the music, he said, "Let me fix that...come with me!" Paul explained that we had other friends at our seats and Fred told Paul to go get the other girls because he could take us all.

That's right, we got upgraded to the FRONT row!!!!

Look at those happy girls!!! Now, Gia could see and SIT. We watched the remainder of the show from the front row and Fred even came back around a third time to make sure our seats were good enough and we didn't need to move closer to the center...so sweet!

I'd say our seats were close enough!! WoW!!!

We finished the night with a private escort to our car and were all so excited and high on life that I don't think any of us went to sleep until well after 2:00am.

Aside from standing in the pouring down rain and thunderstorm at Kenny Chesney last year while he sang, "Something Sexy About the Rain,"  this was one of the BEST concert experiences I have had in a long time!!

I did explain to Paul that he had given us RockStar treatment, so anything less in the future, would be hard to accept! Look out Kenny...we're coming for you next year!!!!
(Now, if only Two Foot Fred toured with Kenny!)
