About Me

My photo
I have a wonderful husband and bouncing boy, who is growing faster and faster as the days go by. I love to play with him and watch him learn and grow. My two boys are the things I am most proud of in this world and I love them to pieces...like father...like son!

First Halloween...Lesson Learned!

OK, so it was Gavin's FIRST Halloween and Mommy wanted him to have the cutest, most cuddly, soft, lovable, hugable costume she could find! So, I bought a PLUSH Monkey suit and boy did he look SUPER cute! Little did I know, it would put us in a HAIRY situation...LITERALLY!!!
Poor Gav. He was such a trooper. He let me dress him up in that silly costume three or four times without protest! He seemed to KNOW that he was cute and cuddly and ate up the attention. Much like he knows when the camera or video camera comes out, he knew when he was in his monkey suit and when to turn on the Siebert charm!
As cute as he was and as soft and cuddly as he was, he was COVERED in plush fur! Head to toe... car seat to bath tub. We had plush monkey fur EVERYWHERE! I think it took three roller brushes and a nice LONG bath to finally get rid of all of the fur!
Lesson learned: Don't buy a plush, fur costume for Halloween, ESPECIALLY in Texas...no matter how cute you think it will look!
