Following the morning ritual, Keith headed upstairs to give Gav a kiss on the head before leaving for work. We all get a kiss on the head before he leaves the house for anything...it's our little tradition.
Well, in doing so, he ended up waking Gav..."POP" went his little head and he was up and ready to go. But, Daddy was leaving for work and Mommy was trying to get ready for work. So, Keith headed downstairs, peeked around the corner and said, "Sorry, I tried to get him to go back to sleep, but he just kept giggling at me."
No worries! Daddy tucked him under the covers in the middle of our bed and turned on the cartoons so I could finish getting ready for work. As I was doing my make-up, I glanced over and couldn't help but stop and watch him for a while, reminisce and enjoy the moment! He was all snuggled, relaxed and just chillin' in mommy and daddy's bed.
I couldn't help but think of what a timeless tradition this is...laying all snuggled in the middle of mommy and daddy's big bed...all warm...all cozy and watching your favorite cartoons! It's like chicken noodle soup and your mom's presence when you are sick...just one of those traditions that never gets old!!
No matter how fast the world turns, how many new gadgets they come up with and how technologically advanced we get...there will always be a big, warm, bed to snuggle up in to watch your favorite cartoons, like Tom and Jerry!!
