About Me

My photo
I have a wonderful husband and bouncing boy, who is growing faster and faster as the days go by. I love to play with him and watch him learn and grow. My two boys are the things I am most proud of in this world and I love them to pieces...like father...like son!

We went out last night...

Oh , yes we did!! We were NOT going to let a little rain hold us back...it never has before, why should this year be any different!

To start the evening, we heard on the radio that Sugarland was not going to perform due to illness. While I have seen Kenny Chesney several years in a row, I was really looking forward to seeing Sugarland LIVE in concert. Big time bummer for me!!!

Every year, Kenny Chesney comes to Pizza Hut Park. EVERY year, it pours down rain. EVERY year, we stand, dance, and sing in the rain. This year...we got shut down!!

We were doing pretty good...it would rain, then we would get a break and the cycle would start all over again, all the way through Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert. Now it was time for Kenny...he started out with a bang, played his newest song (Out last night) and said, "If ya'll are going to stand out in the rain, then I am going to play out in the rain." And he did, he came out into the stage in the middle of the crowd and raised his arms, started singing and then the rain poured down. I LOVED it!!! The sight of the rain shining through the spotlights was awesome!!! We always stand in the rain, we always sing and dance and have a good time...for some reason, this time was a little different. I can't tell you why, but the rain and the company and the show all seemed to give me some sort of peaceful feeling...the kind where you just recognize that rain is refreshing and lightening...beautiful. Without a care in the world, we all just stood there singing in the rain with Kenny Chesney. It was so much fun...you didn't care what you were wearing, because EVERYONE was drenched and wearing ponchos...you didn't care about shoes or make-up. You didn't care about what the people around you thought about you...it was just care-free and peaceful. It was beautiful!! UNTIL, the lightening got bad...then, he said, "ya'll get out of here and get safe...I WILL BE BACK." We made a mad dash for the car...it was a little scary, I won't lie! Needless to say, with all of our commitment, we were a little disappointed to be going home early. However, he wasn't lying and apparently will perform a make-up show within the month, so hopefully, we will get to do it all over again...minus the lightening!!!
