About Me

My photo
I have a wonderful husband and bouncing boy, who is growing faster and faster as the days go by. I love to play with him and watch him learn and grow. My two boys are the things I am most proud of in this world and I love them to pieces...like father...like son!

Can you hear me laughing???

Well, I haven't stopped!!

This trip was so much fun...filled with so many memories. I don't even know how to begin to tell you all about it!

So, I will do my best!!

This all started because my friend, heard the name "Luchenbach" in a song from a mixed CD and wondered if this "Luchenbach" place was real. To her surprise, it was and she was determined to "check it out!" So, in typical OCD fashion, she put together an awesome itinerary, rounded up the troops and really rallied this whole thing together.
We had a few hiccups, delays, and pit stops, but when we finally made it to New Branfuels. We were tired of being in the car and raring to get out and have some FuN! Our first stop... The Gristmill for dinner. If you have never been, it's a MUST...yummmmy!

After some dinner, we moved to Gruene Hall for some dancing. Yep! My cowboy was two stepping me around the dance floor in his Converse tennis shoes. I'm thinking he might have missed the itinerary and pre-planning attire memos. It didn't matter though, we had a blast!!

Everyone made it back to the hotel safe and sound...weeeelllll, everyone was pretty soaked from the evening downpour, but otherwise safe and sound.

Sleep...Talk...Sleep...Drink...Talk...Drink...Sleep...
Some slept, some talked, some drank. A good time was had by all!

Rise and Shine...it was time to head to our next destination...

Fredericksburg and Luchenbach Hall for more FuN!

Hold up! We had one small pit stop on our way to Fredericksburg...

The Salt Lick.

Best BBQ EVER! You don't believe me...try it for yourself sometime!
Once we impregnated our bellies with FOOD BABIES by way of BBQ and homemade dessert...we were on the road again.

Finally, we make it to Fredericksburg!! By now, everyone was exhausted...ready for naps...ready to get prepped for night #2 of FuN! Me, though, I was ready to shop!! After all, I had my Bingo money...burning a hole in my pocket!! So, everyone else took naps and Karle and I went shoppppppppiiinnnnngggg! We only made it through half of the boutiques before they closed for the evening at 5:30, mind you! So, that just means that we have to make another trip back to finish our venture! OK, with no shopping left and the clock ticking away, we get all dolled up and headed out! Everyone was still pretty full from lunch, so we decide to hit the local brewery for some appetizers and pre-concert drinks! Yep, appetizers were all we needed...good to go!!

Off we were to Luchenbach Hall to hear Roger Creager in concert and boot scoot a little more! As we approached the entrance, we stumbled upon a HUGE Texas Longhorn. Sitting there in all his glory, awaiting the inevitable photo-ops! Oh yes! We're in!!! Just because we were in dresses, didn't mean we couldn't jump on board and bask in the moment! We finally made it past all of the tourist traps and into the dance hall, just in time to see Roger Creager come on stage. He opened with his awesome song "LOVE." He even sang a few Johnny Cash songs! We danced, we sang, we drank and we laughed! We did NOT want to go home!

Well after loitering around the picnic tables for a few "last call" drinks, we stumbled upon a few good singers, a storyteller, more good people, a dog, a cat and even a Rooster...who cockadoodle-doed at 1:30 am...I think he was a bit confused of the time!

Finally winding down, we jump in the car, with our designated driver and head back for a few hours of sleep before we made the long trek home...oh too early in the morning!

This was an awesome trip with even better friends and memories that will forever last!
Take a look at the slide show above for tons of pictures...or at least the ones that would fit in the slide show! ~ I guess there is a photo limit. Dang...
