About Me

My photo
I have a wonderful husband and bouncing boy, who is growing faster and faster as the days go by. I love to play with him and watch him learn and grow. My two boys are the things I am most proud of in this world and I love them to pieces...like father...like son!

Sleep Deprivation & Party Sensation

Are you ready friends??
This one's a marathon blog

~ Friday ~
Still not recovered from the infamous South Texas trip...sleep wise, that is. Feeling a little worn out and wishing to go home and go to bed, but NOPE, not happening!

You see...wha ha happen wuz...

Rob found out that Roger Creager (artist we saw in S.Tx) was playing at The North Texas Fair in Denton. So, naturally, we just HAD to go. Round 'em up...get everyone on board and let's G-O-
Roger Creager

That my friends was a little harder to do than anticipated. Our group started strong and as the week progressed, everyone dropped. I was NOT giving in...I was going even if it was by myself. I wasn't about to let any sleep deprivation dictate my weekend plans. I worked too hard during the week to not enjoy my weekend. So, off we went...to the Fair. RC wasn't coming on stage until 9:30, so I went to Aunt Gia's (thank you dear sister for watching Gavster) to get Gav all set up for an overnight stay, play with the boys and chat with Aunt G.

The FIRST of many sleepovers

HOW FUN?!?!?! The boys were having their very FIRST (of many to come) sleep overs!
Aunt G had a blast or so she says, the boys had a blast and I had a blast...it was win win!

Getting home at a descent hour, but WAIT, our night was not over...nope...we acted like we were in high school and played a practical joke on the jester herself, Karle. Prank: Dirt behind the tires so that one has to shovel the dirt to back out. Modified Prank: Dirt Bags behind the tires so one only has to move the dirt bags to back up. Playing a prank in a highly lit, secured, community apartment garage is not as easy as you think! Shhhh, let's see how long it takes her to text or call one of us with the scoop! hehehehe Saturday rolls around...nothing!...Sunday rolls around...all day, nothing! Rob couldn't take much more, so he drops even bigger hints. FINALLY Karle puts two and two together and we have ourselves a FUNNY.

The remnants of our prank!

The night was complete...I had the house to myself and should have gone to sleep, but no, not me...I stayed up and honed in on my FB addiction.

~Saturday~

Rise and Shine...bright and early!! Gotta get donuts and get to Gia's before all of the monkeys wake up and bombarded her with breakfast needs!
Gia: "Gav still sleeping...take your time!" Me: "Are you kidding...of course"
Gav finally wakes up around 7:30 and we all have breakfast!

Next stop...International Fire Chiefs Convention
The new Command truck was on display and we were very PROUD of Uncle Paul for all of his efforts in helping to complete the truck. It was great to see him beaming with PRIDE!
Yay, Uncle Paul!!!

There were lots of COOL Fire trucks and we spent more time than we anticipated but it was nice to do something as a family. Gav rocked it and even took a nap in the stroller.

Next Stop...Nana Jo and Grandpa's House
Mommy and Daddy had a wedding reception to attend, so Gav was spending the night with Nana Jo and Grandpa. I'm pretty sure that they had been anxiously awaiting Gavin's arrival since the weeeeee early hours.

Next Stop...Wedding Reception
(I LOVE wedding receptions...I should be a wedding crasher just so I can dance and be silly!!
Oh yeah! We had a blast! We drank, we ate, we drank, we danced, we had so much fun! My stomach hurt so bad from laughing all night! We did the chicken dance. We did the two step. We even had a couple attempt the 'Dirty Dancing' lift. It was awesome!!

The 'Dirty Dancing' LIFT

Next Stop...Two Brothers
It was only midnight...why would we go home and sleep when we could go to Two Brothers and hang out, listen to more music and perhaps get a bite to eat! We made it until about 2 am and then called it a night. Finally asleep...3 am. Can someone please remind me that I am not 22 or 23 anymore. Whew...why does this get harder as you get older.

IS ANYONE TIRED JUST FROM READING THIS??? COME ON, POWER THROUGH!!!

~ Sunday ~
Sunday Funday at the Lake

Notorious for being late, we tell Rob to be at the house by 10, so he will make it by 11 and we can hit the road by 12. Ooops, Rob was on time and we were still in bed recovering from our late night Saturday night. Good job Rob. Sorry we ruined it and you will never be early again. After some minor boat adjustments (thanks Keith), we were on the road and headed to
Lake Ray Roberts and 'Kelly's Cove' (yes, I named the cove...can you tell?)

Mission: Conquer the Wakeboard.
Status Update: Mission Accomplished!!! Yeah!

Kelly Ridin' Karle Ridin

It was an awesome day at the Lake...Great Friends...Great Accomplishments...Great Weather!
Was our night over at 10 when we finally made it back home...NOPE!
We were all starving and Keith had to try out his new juicer! So, we ordered pizza and Keith scrounged up what fruit he could mix well from the refrigerator and waaalaaa...we toasted to our memorable accomplishments during Sunday Funday! Once again, bedtime...Midnight. Whew!

Shots of Apple Juice...mmmmmm!

That's it friends...I am pretty sure I am going to bed very soon tonight!
