Golfing with Pappy

Staying overnight at Mamaw and Pappy's usually lands Gavin something NEW, which means excitement in the house! This in particular overnight stay brought excitement to Pappy too! Ever since we found out we were having a BOY, I know my dad was excited about, one day, showing him how to golf. I even think if we had a girl, he would have been just as excited...these kiddos will learn, from Pappy, how to play the game of golf!

Well, Aunt Gia has some clubs at her house and all the kids adore playing with them. I mentioned to Mamaw and Pappy that they were the hit of the house when we went to play at Aunt G's. That's it!!! That's all it took...dad heard "golf clubs"..."hit of the house"...and he was ready to go hunt for a set of clubs for Gavin. So, in all their glory...off to shop for a set of clubs! You see, my toddler LOVES to sit on Pappy's lap and watch golf...no kidding!! Mommy, loves to sleep to golf. So, Pappy was super excited and Gavin would even clap when the golfers made their putts into the hole. So, that brought on my Mom teaching him to say, "In the hole" when the golfers were putting.

Gav has had his clubs for a week now and has really gotten good at holding the club correctly and hitting the ball. He is obsessed with his golf club and I dare anyone to try to take it away from him. I think he would sleep with it, if I let him.
