About Me

My photo
I have a wonderful husband and bouncing boy, who is growing faster and faster as the days go by. I love to play with him and watch him learn and grow. My two boys are the things I am most proud of in this world and I love them to pieces...like father...like son!

Van Gogh?...Tyson?...Nope! Wakeboarding!!!

No, Keith was not imitating Van Gogh. He was not trying to fight Tyson. He was simply having fun, wake boarding!! You see, Keith had been working on a "toe side wake to wake" jump. Rob, our friend, was working on a "heel side wake to wake" jump. Both of them accomplished their feats!

Note: For those who are unfamiliar with wake boarding...a wake to wake jump is when you start the jump on one side of the "V" shaped wake and land your jump on the other side of the wake, therefore clearing the center portion of the wake, or "V" shape.
Well, Rob cleared his heel side wake to wake jump, dropped the rope and said, "I'm done for the day...accomplishment...check." Now it was Keith's turn...toe side, wake to wake. Ready? Set? GO!!! Whooohooo, Keith cleared it once, and now twice, BUT oops...the third time was NOT a charm! Crash, down Keith went...tumbled a bit under water...it hurt a little, but Keith thought nothing of it. Now, drip, drip, drip. Why is there still water dripping from his head?? Oh, gosh!!! There isn't...it's blood!! Rob: "Whoa, man, your ear is bleeding pretty good." Keith: still attached to the bindings and wake board, "Hmmm, that fall didn't hurt that bad and I didn't come out of the bindings or wake board...how did that happen?" Yikes!! It won't stop bleeding! Guess he should have stopped, like Rob.

(This picture is after 10 days of healing and stitches...you should have seen it day 1...yikes!!!)

Now, a visit to the ER for stitches. BUT, you see, I went to the lake with them on Saturday, ALL DAY. So, staying home with Gavin on Sunday, made it "boys day" at the lake! So, naturally, Keith and Rob had to call to let me know Keith would be headed to the ER, seeing as how it was 9:45 PM and I would be expecting them home soon!! Ring...Ring...I answer...Keith: "Well, I don't know how to tell you this..." Me: "Oh gosh, he wrecked the boat or something went terribly wrong and it's going to cost us a fortune." Not once, thinking he injured himself since he sounded SOOOOoooo guilty! Well, he was worried that when he came home to drop off Rob and walk in to get his stuff to head to the ER, I would freak out when I saw his bloody ear. So, a good little husband, he wanted to "warn" me. Me: *Sigh* "Well, ok. Do you need me to take you or go with you?" Keith: "Of course not, I just didn't want you to worry." Right! ME NOT WORRY!! Who did he think he was married to??? I am the queen of worrying. But, I chalked it up to him being a guy and more stitches or ER visits in the future. If Gavin is anything like his Daddy, the two of them will keep the ER in business and give Mommy lots of gray hair, WAY TOO EARLY!! Needless to say, Keith's next purchase was a HELMET!!!

Party on and rock those landings, my dear!
